Treat these like passwords — actually, worse.
  • Keep them secret. Anyone with the private key can sign payments as your agent. Anyone with the TOTP secret can authorise withdrawals.
  • Store them encrypted. Do not store unencrypted — minimum AES-256 at rest.
  • We do not keep a recoverable copy. If you lose them, your agent cannot sign or withdraw — you must re-register.
  • Never email them, paste them in chat, commit them to git, or send them to a third party.
